In his newly released biography of Richard Nixon, Conrad Black suggests that Richard Nixon isn "uniquely sleazy" and that perhaps, therefore, history shouold be kinder to him. I'm not sure what was funnier:
1) that this would seem a credible and complimentary ode to Mr Nixon
2) the fact that I accepted so easily that it is likely true.
His relatively unique misfortune is that he got caught.
